Marlegno -Hogares Prefabricados en Madera- y el Colegio de Arquitectos de Bérgamo tienen abierta su convocatoria para la Competencia “Diseñando el Futuro 2014” cuyo objetivo principal es obtener diferentes soluciones arquitectónicas a partir de unos pocos elementos. La fecha de cierre es el 31 de agosto de 2014.
El primer premio consta de 5,600 euros; el segundo premio consta de 2,800 euros; y el tercer premio consta de 1,400 euros. Además, Los primeros 50 proyectos se expondrán en la sala de exposiciones de Marlegno hasta el 31 de octubre de 2014. El diseño debe optimizar la prefabricación y estandarización en orden de obtener diferentes soluciones arquitectónicas. Las unidades deben tener un área total de 100 mts2 aproximadamente, que pueden desarrollarse en más de un nivel. Los participantes deben considerar el paisaje, clima y cultura del país que representen.
Los solicitantes deberán presentar el trabajo del proyecto en forma de dibujo, en formato A1 ISO (594 mm * 841 mm) vertical; dibujos técnicos, planos, alzados, secciones y detalles constructivos; y una representación. Los archivos deben estar en formato PDF y tener un tamaño máximo de 20 MB.
Criterios de selección:
- El concurso está abierto a estudiantes de postgrado, arquitectos, ingenieros y diseñadores.
- Es posible presentarse en grupo, pero deben designar un único representante.
- Se le permite a cada participante presentar un único proyecto.
- El concurso es internacional y el idioma oficial Inglés.

Marlegno Prefabricated Wooden Buildings, in collaboration with the Association of Architects of Bergamo, would like to announce the sponsorship of an international contest to design prefabricated wooden single family homes.
The design must optimize the prefabrication and standardization in order to obtain different architectural solutions, starting from a few basic elements/modules.
The units shall have a total area of approximately 100 square meters, which can be also developed on one or more levels.
Participants must design the house considering the landscape, climate and culture to the country they represent.
2. CONDITIONS
The contest is open to graduate students, architects, engineers and designers. Groups can participate but must nominate a single representative. Each participant is permitted to submit a single project. The contest is intenational and the official language is English.
3. PARTECIPATION
Partecipation in the contest is free.
In order to partecipate the following documents must be submitted at the same time:
1. Registration form;
2. Project work;
Marlegno will confirm via email the correct receipt of required documents.
In the event of non-compliance, documents must be updated before the deadline.
4. DOCUMENTS

The project work, consisting of one drawing, must be in ISO format A1 (594 mm * 841 mm) vertical and contain:
1. Concept
2 . Technical drawings , plans, elevations , sections and construction details
3 . Rendering
The files must be in “.Pdf” format, and have a total maximum size of 20 MB.
5. DEADLINE
All documents must be received by midnight of August 31, 2014 at the following email address: info@marlegno.it.
6. JUDGES
The judging panel will consist of the following members:
1. Arch. Gianmatteo Romegialli , founder of the studio Act_Romegialli Morbegno (president);
2. Arch. Giancarlo Paganino , associate professor of the Polytechnic of Milan, Department ABC former Best
3. Ing. Angelo Luigi Marchetti , Marlegno.
4. Arch Corrado Negrini , representative of the Architects of Bergamo (Secretary of the panel judging without voting rights)
7. EVALUATION CRITERIA
The project will be evaluated on the following criteria (score up to 25/100 for each category) :
1. Prefabrication off site
2. Basic elements/modules and their aggregation
3. Eco-sustainability
4. Design
Evaluation forms will not be made public.
8. RESULTS
Judging results will be completed by September 30, 2014 and all decisions are final.
All participants will be notified via email.
The winners are required to submit a video presentation of the project in English which must be received no later than October 9, 2014 , failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification. (the prize will not be paid)
9. PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded as follows
First place 5.600,00 euro
Second place 2.800,00 euro
Third place 1.400,00 euro
The prize amounts are inclusive of contributions and taxes in accordance with own applicable laws.
The prize payment will follow the invoice presentation.
The prize ceremony will be celebrated at the conference hall of Marlegno on October 11, 2014 at 10.00 a.m.
10. EXPOSURE
The first 50 projects will be exhibited at Marlegno exhibition hall until 31 October 31, 2014.
11 . DISCLOSURE OF PROJECTS IN COMPETITION
Participants authorize Marlegno, without claiming any compensation and without limits of time and territory, except the mention of the author, to use, publish and communicate, in any form, the documents of the competition.
12 . COPYRIGHT
Participants agree not to include in the documents of the competition copyrighted materials. In the event of any irregularity the participants will assume all responsibility.
13 . AUTHORIZATION
In relation to the Italian law 675/ 96 and following , relating to the protection of persons and other subjects regarding the processing of personal data , the participants hereby authorize the contest organization to the processing of their personal data.
14 . QUESTIONS

FAQ
1. The 100 sqm area does not include the garage, patios, terraces and others external spaces (pergola, solar greenhouse, balcony).
