Programa de Fellowship Global WZB-ISSC en Ciencias Sociales- A.SK Social Science Award 2015 – Call for Nominations

El Centro de Ciencias Sociales de Berlín (WZB por sus siglas en alemán) y el Consejo Internacional de Ciencias Sociales (ISSC) tiene abierta la convocatoria para el Programa de Fellowships Global, cuyo objetivo principal crear una nueva generación de científicos sociales en países de desarrollo. La fecha de cierre es el 15 de Septiembre 2014.

El apoyo comprende una beca de seis meses para investigación posdoctoral, y un estipendio mensual de 500 euros máximo, y los gastos de viaje serán reembolsados. Además se brindará un espacio de trabajo con computadora e internet, acceso a la biblioteca y apoyo para participar del World Social Science Forum 2015.

Para ser admitidos, los participantes deben tener máximo cinco años de experiencia después de su doctorado; El solicitante debe vivir y trabajar en un país en vías de desarrollo; El investigación debe abordar las investigaciones de WZB y el tópico del Foro Mundial de Ciencias Sociales 2015 de ISSC, que es “Transformando Relaciones Globales para un Mundo Justo.”

Para inscribirse, los participantes deben presentar una carta de motivación, un resumen de sus investigaciones principales y contribuciones educativas, dos cartas de recomendación, un CV, prueba de su nivel de inglés, un acuerdo entre la institución del país de origen con la institución de Alemania. A.SK Social Science Award 2015 – Call for Nominations

The WZB Berlin Social Science Center invites nominations for the

 A.SK Social Science Award 2015

The award honors research on public policy with a focus on economic and governmental reforms by scholars, practitioners and professionals with a prize of €100,000.

Please submit a letter of nomination (app. 5 pages, detailing the nominee’s intellectual accomplishments) and two short hardcopy letters of support, one of which can be written by the person submitting the nomination.Nominations should be submitted to the WZB, together with supporting material (CV, selected publications etc.), by 1 October 2014.

The A.SK Social Science Award honors research in the spirit of the A.SK mission statementpresenting new ideason Economic Reform and Government Reform, with a global perspective, such as:

1.       

  • the role of entrepreneurs and competitive cooperation for economic well-being and development
  • the micro- and macroeconomic features of systems which allow employees to participate more in the ownership of their companies through ownership components of salaries
  • the allocative and distributive qualities of systems where individual land ownership rights are limited to long-term leases,
  • the possibilities for the financial sector to have more direct links to the national production of goods and services in order to prevent monetary  instabilities and speculative deformations,
     

2.       

  • the possibilities of governmental reforms
  • civil society and the contribution of non-governmental organisations to democratic and effective governance
  • the potential of multi-level democracies
  • preconditions of good governance in state and society.
