A first center for business excellence will be sponsored by CONCYTEC, private business and research centers of Peru. The center will be a think tank dedicated to scientific research and technological solutions for different industries in Peru. A contribution of S/.80 million will be committed to finance business-oriented technological projects if they prove technically and financially viable.
The announcement was made today by Gisella Orjeda, president of the National Council for Science and Technology (CONCYTEC). The center will be created through a contest where six technical proposals shall be submitted with a special jury, each of them containing a number of projects to address key problems of local economy and proposing business-oriented solutions. So far, 24 international research centers from Germany, United States, Australia, France and Spain will participate in such contest.
