The Rockefeller Foundation invites applications for its academic writing residency. This provides university or think-tank-based academics and scientists in all disciplines with scholarly residencies at the Bellagio Center. The residents’ research must either focus on improving the wellbeing of humankind, or relate to one or more of the foundation’s issue areas, which include:

•advance health;

•revalue ecosystems;

•secure livelihoods;

•transform cities.

Collaborative residencies for up to four people working on the same project may also be supported. Candidates from developing countries are particularly encouraged to apply.

The residency lasts two to four weeks and may take place between 18 August and 26 November 2015. It provides the resident and their spouse or life partner with room and board. Travel assistance may also be available.
